I love it, but...
"...Great article! I watched my children play and now I'm watching my graandchildren. Very different. I beleive some coaches actually encourage this kind of violence in the game. I actually saw an official apologize to a coach for calling the 5th foul on one of his players. I'm sure he made him feel better by putting his arm around his shoulder. Hard to understand why everyone in the gym can see the infractions except the officals. Very sad!

"...You've probably touched a few nerves with that story, but at least someone had the guts to tell the truth. I agree with you...basketball needs fundamental change and needs it immediately. I really liked your suggestion about widening the lane."

Mark Robinette

"...You forgot one thing. What about cracking down on some of the behavior in the stands? How can you expect more from the kids when the adults act the way they do?"

Linda...Sidney

"...Sadly, high school basketball has become a reflection on the rest of society, where discipline is compromised and good sportsmanship is secondary to winning and making the opponent feel beaten!"

Jim Massey

All Area's all wet...!

"...Surely you must realize that there's more to area sports and athletes than the backroads of Shelby County!"

(ed. note: Sure do! We just haven't found them yet...not this year!)

"...Why do you even bother?"

Matt

Where you been...?
"...I noticed that there has been no FanFile for the past week. I hope you're not discontinuing the site because there's nothing else like it. Please let us know!"

Jesse Worley
(ed. note: Jesse, there are many factors that go into websites, not the least of which are technical issues. Those issues are now resolved and FanFile marches on. We apologize for the timing...and thanks for your kind words of support.)

"...I have some ideas that I would like to suggest for FanFile to consider in the future. Are you willing to listen...and how can we get together?"

Kevin
(ed. note: Kevin, I've never turned a deaf ear to a "good" idea in my life. Jot 'em down and send them to the site's e-mail address.)
